Midnight Sun was founded in the Northwest Territories in 1993, as a specialized remote power company. We began engineering and building our own generators to meet extreme northern conditions at off-grid bush and tundra sites. We augmented these popular camp gensets with custom solar and wind power systems for exploration camps, mines, lodges and other remote sites. Successful business operation in the North is not for the faint of heart and we know what it takes to thrive. In the resource-driven economy of Canada's North, the names of the precious metals may change, but most of the challenges of operating in this unique environment remain the same. As the mining and exploration landscape has evolved, so has Midnight Sun's array of products and services, along with our technical team's expertise.
