Mind Equals Blown

MEB: The music you guys create is some of the most heartfelt and touching songs I've ever heard. What are some of the life experiences you've been through that you draw your lyrics from? We Are The Ocean: Many. The new record Maybe Today, Maybe Tomorrow has desperation, escapism, and hope. But every song has a meaning and it all relates to something that is going on. Being in this band, there are a lot of emotions and we write stuff that someone can take and use and learn from. There is this self-belief that is at the end of it all. At the beginning of our songs, things don't start out right, but at the end everything's going to be fine. To address the recent news, why is it that Dan decided to leave the band and act as the manager? There are the clichés of musical differences, career differences, and we just had to make the best decision for the band. We are very positive about everything and we are going to continue on as a band. Sometimes there isn't an underlying and negative reason as to why individuals leave bands, sometimes it… just happens. How do you feel this will affect the writing of Maybe Today, Maybe Tomorrow? It doesn't affect the writing at all. How many songs are expected to be on the new album? What lyrical topics are you going to write about?
