Mobile Convergence develops and manufactures routers and gateways that act as a switchboard for IP Networks like the Internet. In 2006, the company co-developed the Korea's first Flow Router with ETRI, under the Ministry of Information and Communication's sponsor. The routers are currently procured and utilized by organizations such as the Ministry of National Defense, the Korea Post and Seoul city hall. The company also created the "Trusted IP Network Solution" to fundamentally address the underlying security vulnerability of IP Networks. Originally, Trusted IP Network was the name of a type of network developed solely for the US Department of Defense to assure secure transfer of important information. For the past 11 years, Mobile Convergence researchers in Korean headquarters and its US subsidiary devoted themselves into research and development, and as a result, created the world's first commercialized version of the Network in December 2013. The solution is implemented based on the Trusted IP Gateway we have developed, and merges 'Network Virtualization Technology' and 'VPN Exchange Technology', thus capable of creating desired number of networks that are both extremely secure and provide communication efficiency. Therefore, it not only solves the issue of innate cyber security of the IoT era, but also is an innovative solution that can significantly reduce network deployment and operation costs.
