Modern Art Foundry

I often begin tours of Modern Art Foundry by simply stating that my grandfather John Spring started our company over seventy years ago, in 1932. My father Bob Spring has been the president since the early 1970's following over twenty-five years of service in all foundry departments. My sister Mary Jo and I represent the third generation of family owners and it is our intention to bring our history, services, and traditional craftsmanship into the 21st century. We remain the "Artist's Foundry", offering artists and communities the opportunity to complete their work under one roof. It often humbles and amazes me when I think of all the sculpture that has been completed at Modern Art Foundry. All the artists that have passed through our doors, engaged us with their work, and shared their spirit with us. Hopefully we've provided them high quality services and inspired them to continue to share their creativity with the world around us. First and foremost we are a fine art lost wax casting foundry working for sculptors. We also continue to expand our other services: maintenance and conservation and commemorative designs. We now exhibit work cast at Modern Art Foundry through our Alternative Space and Spring Gallery. We offer educational services to those seeking information about foundry work.
