Mohawk Trail Regional School

We are a small, rural school nestled in the hills along the picturesque North River, servicing students from preschool-grade 6. As we look out the windows of our school, we see the stunning countryside in which we are so blessed to be learning. As we look around inside our building, we see remarkable students and staff members who are caring for one another and earnest about their education. Our mission is to work together in a safe, welcoming environment to promote an education that pursues excellence, independence, and creativity while sustaining a sense of community. Our vision for students is to move forward with the self-confidence to meet new challenges, to be good citizens, and to have the ability and desire to continually acquire new knowledge and skills. In order to accomplish this, we set high academic and social standards, to which we hold all members of our school community accountable. At Colrain Central School, we actively look for ways to incorporate our community into our learning. We strive to become better connected to the roots of our town, knowing that those who have gone before us have much to teach us. We also make every effort to recognize that the world is much bigger than our town and there is much to be gained through the exploration of it. To that end, the incorporation of field trips help us to realize both how large, and how small, the world truly is.
