Desafio also won Virgin Holiday's Best Tour Operator Award for Local Economies based on its approach to the local economy and sustainable tourism practices. Janet Ellis is the owner of the Monteverde Tours web site since 1998 and has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the tourist trade in Costa Rica.
