Morabitur

MORABITUR gathers two words: morabeza and tourism. Morabeza is a key word of the cape-verdian idiosyncrasy, and it is, for that, always richer than any description done of it. Let us say shortly that morabeza is the quality attributed to the people of Cape Verde of receiving well, with a friendly treatment, sharing what is and what has with whom receives. This is the superlative desire that Morabitur has: besides a quality tourist operation, allow the tourists that are received in Cape Verde this born capacity of the cape-verdian people of creating a good relationship, a well-being that crosses the formal quality of a tourist program. We are a TOURIST OPERATOR that is in charge of providing the most several stays and packages to the international operators that, in their home markets, intend to program Cape Verde. We published since 1997, along with a communication design company, a biennial brochure that shows, in 6 languages, exhaustingly, the equipments and the products that CAPE VERDE can be available for tourists. You will find the contents of this brochure in the pages of this site, enriched with an important gallery of exclusive pictures, made along several years in all of the islands of this captivating archipelago. Morabitur also develops issuing programming and internal tourism, providing to cape-verdians and to all the residents in the country the opportunity of spending holidays in any island of the archipelago, or even in several dispersed destinies around the world. In all islands was born a tourist organization (travel agencies and tourism) linked to Morabitur. So that today we have a net of travel agencies that cover the whole national territory, with the advantage of being rooted in almost all and each one of the islands that compose Cape Verde. This group has adopted the name TERRA SAB, that gave rise to a tour operator, whose mission is producing internal and outbound tour packages, as well as representing the group in tourism fairs. We worked since 1996, year of our birth, with TACV, the historical Air Company of Cape Verde. We contribute decisively for the enrichment of the offer in this sector in Cape Verde, as main promoters in a new National Air Company, HALCYON AIR, designation that we look for in a multicolored bird that inhabits Santiago, Fogo and Brava's islands, where it is known by "passarinha". The role carried out by this new Company in the progress of Cape Verde is of great relevance, as it will be demonstrated, regarding the development outbreak that the country crosses, as regards to new international airports, from which it will be necessary to irradiate the crescent traffic to the surrounding islands, and, mainly, create new connections for development of internal, as well as international, tourism. Also in this chapter Morabitur and its Group have been developing an important paper in the development of the tourist operation in Cape Verde. Each travel agency was equipped of bus and mini-bus properly prepared for the tourists' transport.
