MORES s.a.r.l. is a consulting firm providing services in resource management, sustainable development and the environment. Since its founding in 2001, MORES s.a.r.l. has consulted on regional projects covering the Mashreq and Maghreb countries, and managed and executed development projects in earth sciences and environment in Lebanon - from the reclamation of an open waste dump into a green public space, to master planning solid waste and wastewater management, sector studies in agriculture and fishery, and developing ecotourism projects in Syria. Prior to 2001, the principal founder, Raji Maasri, had managed an environmental and water resource company, designed and oversaw the reclamation of the Normandy area along the coastal spread of Beirut Central District, and worked as an environmental consultant for 7 years in the United States (USA). MORES mainly operates in the Middle East and North Africa region. Regional projects like the METAP Regional Solid Waste Management Project and the Euro-Med Transport Policy project were implemented in collaboration with European counterparts. Owing to the experience base of its staff and associates, MORES has an extensive and well-earned reputation in institutional strengthening, capacity building, awareness campaigning, infrastructure and community development. Soliciting community participation and the active involvement of stakeholders through public participation, awareness planning and campaigning has become a point of strength within MORES project management, thus helping meet clients' and donors' requirements. Wherever external funding was required, MORES has worked with clients to assure the involvement of potential donors through the preparation of studies and later when dossier techniques have been completed. This work has on various occasions assisted in funding the projects.
