Motherlove's founder, Kathryn Higgins, grew up in a Mayo Clinic medical family - all avid gardeners - from Rochester, Minnesota. After moving to the Colorado Rocky Mountains, she began incorporating the wild plants around her rural home into her daily life as food and medicine. Unable to find herbal products to support her pregnancy and birthing experiences, she began making her own and sharing them with other women. Over the course of three decades, Motherlove Herbal Company has grown from Kathryn's kitchen to a large and modern USDA-certified organic manufacturing facility and 120-acre organic farm on Colorado's Front Range.
