Mounu Island Resort

Mounu utilizes solar power to supply 12, 24, 110 and 240volt. We carry adapters so your camera/phone/video can be charged in the main building. Rain water is collected at the main complex and double filtered for drinking. Pathways through the bush connect you to the main complex. We have a planting programme underway on the island with native Kauri, Cedar and Mahogany being planted. Mounu in Tongan means 'bait fish'. Huge schools of sardines congregate in the shallow waters around the Island. The Humpback Whales can be spotted from your fale from the months of July - October. Turtles have been known to nest on the Island during the Summer months. Owners Allan, Lyn and Kirsty Bowe and their wonderful Tongan staff welcome you to share their little piece of paradise.
