based in san francisco, california, movebutter is building an entirely new supermarket. by removing middlemen, overhead and marketing costs, we're able to make high-quality groceries extremely affordable. and, by selling online and shipping direct, we're making it possible for anyone in the country to access fresh food. we were founded in 2016 by two 22 year olds in berkeley, ca. since then, we've been funded by some of the most iconic investors in silicon valley and from around the world. investors include y combinator, kima ventures, the san francisco 49ers, joe montana's liquid2 ventures, dorm room fund, the house fund, beluga capital, fundersclub, matthew bellamy (of rock band, muse), and the marzotto family (owners of hugo boss).
