The Mattituck-Laurel Library is the center for information, culture, educational enrichment and recreation for the communities of Mattituck and Laurel. The Library is also committed to nurturing lifelong library users. The Mission Statement for the Young Adult Services Department is to provide enriching informational, academic and recreational services and programs for community teens. *We strive to promote and advocate continuous specialized young adult service to attract and retain patrons through the transition from childhood to adulthood. *To provide young adults access to the entire range of library materials and services. *To promote active cooperation among schools, community organizations, and public libraries. *To provide the means for all young adults to empower themselves and to fulfill their academic, vocational, recreational and emotional needs.
