Women

The Ministry of Women, Youth, Children & Family Affairs, MWYCFA was established in June 2007, from a division under the Ministry of Home Affairs then that aimed to address the concerns of women, youth and children in Solomon Islands. Since then, the ministry has grown in maturity and strength. Throughout the years of our existence, we have remained focussed on our theme "Our way forward through partnerships". As such our family of partners and stakeholders has grown as we reach out to those around us to build our solidarity and force to make a difference to the lives of those we serve. Our capacity in terms of quality and quantity has improved to a reasonable extent. Our reach and range in terms of programmes have diversified and extended increasingly to the provinces. The Ministry's outlook and focus has also been sharpened to maintain relevancy to changing needs.
