Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital is committed to providing care to the poor and uninsured. As a not-for-profit hospital, we are responsible for billing for the services we deliver. All patients are charged the same amount for services they receive at Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital. What we receive in payment for those services is dependent upon the payor source (Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance or self-pay). Insurance companies reimburse hospitals for a significant amount of the charges, while most uninsured patients are able to contribute very little toward the charges. Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital works closely with patients who have financial need, including helping them qualify for government programs or other financial assistance and payment programs.
