The National School of First Aid Training

The National School of First Aid Training (NSFAT) knows first hand the value of first aid and the difference it makes when accidents do happen. The training and the after-care we offer to our clients and customers is a testament to our success as a trusted and respected first aid training organisation. The NSFAT was originally founded out of a local requirement in rural South Lanarkshire (Scotland) for recognised first aid qualifications that meet the requirements of The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. The training had to be delivered in a realistic, practical and hands-on way (notrelying on boring PowerPoint's and lectures) that was client focused and cost effective. From this simple brief the NSFAT has grown beyond expectations into a national training organisation that supports local and large businesses, national corporations, local governments, charities and private individuals. The training that we offer is dynamic and radical, focusing on developing practical and hands-on techniques that in turn build real confidence. We teach genuine, useable first aid skills that are tried and tested in real life situations rather than just to look good in the safe and controlled environment of the training room. Our courses are (and always will be) delivered by professional, experienced and fully qualified instructors with proven backgrounds in emergency and trauma care such as NHS nurses, military medics and state registered (expedition) Paramedics. We also have many environmentally specific instructors such as International Mountain Leaders and fire fighters to teach and support courses based on specific client needs and specifications.
