Neoprospecta

We are a biotech startup that uses high-throughput genomic sequencing and large scale bioinformatics as its main technologies with the aim to find new genes, enzymes and other proteins from the biodiversity. We are located in Porto Alegre, south of Brazil, and part of the Valetec Technology Park, an institution with more than 60 companies associated and an hub of innovation development. Neoprospecta is the winner of the Santander Entrepreneurship Award 2010 in the category Biotechnology and Health. Currently, the company is one of the finalists of the Ibero-American Prize of Entrepreneurship 2011. Although a young company, we firmed partnerships with a range of companies and with the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. We believe in the value of the biodiversity as a source of innovation and we are committed to the continuous development of products ans services based on the discovery of new genes, enzymes and other proteins.
