New Homes Guide

The website, in partnership with The West Australian, enables builders and developers to upload their home designs and developments, which can then be browsed and searched by homebuyers. The redesign aimed to improve the website for homebuyers, and for builders and developers, said New Homes Guide founder and director Troy McGuinness. Key changes include a shift in colour from dark grey to white, the introduction of bespoke graphics to identify categories and larger, more user-friendly buttons and call to action points. "Since it launched in October 2011, the website has exceed everyone's expectations and the growth has been exponential, " Mr McGuinness said. "We now attract over 1000 visits a day and we have clients who receive more enquiries from NHG than they do from their own websites. "Online, we can measure everything, and that means we can create change based on solid statistics and facts. "Our focus is on improving the user experience and from there increasing the level of enquiry and engagement our clients receive when they market their homes on the website." The new interface design includes improvements to the account management platform, where builder and developer clients upload and manage the images and content they use to market their homes. This platform is now responsive, giving clients mobile access from tablets and smart phones. Following the launch of its new look, the next step for the New Homes Guide site will be geographical expansion to service builders in regions outside thePerthmetropolitan area, starting with the South West. "We have clients already who are very keen to feature the homes and developments they offer in the South West on New Homes Guide, " said New Homes sales manager Amanda Burton. "It's a natural evolution for us, and one that has been on our development and expansion plan since we first partnered with New Homes Guide early in 2012." New Homes Guide was also recently named a finalist for a prestigious International Newspaper Marketing Award alongside renowned international newspaper publishers including the New York Times and The Times of India. The site is a finalist in the best brand/product/audience development for a newspaper with a circulation of 300,000-plus category and the winners will be announced inNew Yorkin April.
