Nienhuis Financial Group LLC was founded in 1995 by Douglas Nienhuis. Mr. Nienhuis spent fifteen years as a CFO in manufacturing and was in public practice with a regional accounting firm prior to that. As a result of his experience, he determined that small- to medium-sized businesses would benefit from a CFO?s services, however most companies could not afford to fill a full-time position. While the firm was originally formed to fill that niche, Mr. Nienhuis found that these same companies also needed related financial services such as accounting, bookkeeping, and tax assistance. The firm therefore evolved to incorporate those areas a CFO might typically oversee: Accounting, Tax, Information Technology, and Human Resources. We also work with outside companies to provide investment and retirement services, banking and financing solutions, legal counsel, and insurance planning. While many CPA or consulting firms provide similar services individually, we feel our approach is different in two very important ways. First, we consider ourselves a partner in our clients? businesses. We feel the best way to effectively provide an idea is to know our clients from the inside out. Therefore we need to understand the objectives of the company and the motivations of the owners as much as the financial results in order to provide value-added services. Second, our staff works as a team both within our company and with a client?s existing professional relationships in order to integrate ideas in the best way possible. Communication is critical when incorporating new planning. We help ensure everyone is working toward the same goal.
