After countless hours configuring and maintaining backends throughout the years, we discovered how productive the developer experience could be with a fully managed backend such as Google Firebase. ...However, none of the services offered SQL, GraphQL and open-source software. We created Nhost to combine the best of both worlds: a fully managed backend with modern, open-source technologies. We help Product Builders launch to market fast. In April 2021, we raised our $3M seed funding round led by Nauta Capital, SCNE, and Antler. The round also included the following angel investors: Tom Preston-Werner (co-founder of GitHub). Mathias Biilmann Christensen and Christian Bach (co-founders of Netlify).
