North Lancs Training Group

We are one of the largest training providers in the country and we pride ourselves on the quality of our services to our learners. We were established in 1969 and are owned by approximately 60, mainly furniture, companies located in the north west of England and Northern Ireland. The North Lancs Training Group has been training young people for over 45 years and has a wealth of experience when supporting youth. In fact, over 60 of the Group's professional staff are ex NLTG apprentices. We assess the suitability of all NLTG staff to work with young people by carrying out online DBS Checks via local DBS umbrella Body, Personnel Checks. We are committed to the continuous improvement of our service and we employ a team of professional people who are constantly undertaking training and development. We are committed to total learner satisfaction with the emphasis on individuals and their needs. We deliver Intermediate Level 2, Advanced Level 3 and now Higher Level 4 Apprenticeships in a wide variety of occupations - Furniture Occupations, Woodmachining, Business Administration, Customer Service, Information Technology, Catering and Hospitality, Food Manufacturing, General Manufacturing, Warehouse and Storage, Glass Occupations, Carpentry and Joinery, Team Leading and Management and Retail. NLTG also offer the Study Programme and Traineeships, the exciting pre-apprenticeship programme tailored to suit the needs of young people. It is a programme that was introduced in 2013 and aims to help young people who are not yet ready, or able, to directly enter employment or an Apprenticeship. We have a Centre of Vocational Excellence for the woodmachining and furniture trades and also two Vocational Centre's of Excellence. One centre is in Accrington housing our Apprentice Recruitment department, Employer Engagement team, Study Programme team, Job Centre Provision and a state of the art Catering and Hospitality training facility and the other centre is in Fleetwood housing our Fleetwood Study Programme Team.
