Nathel & Nathel makes deliveries around the clock to the tri-state area. We are direct receivers of the finest fruits and vegetables available for the ultimate consumer. We work directly with growers throughout the United States and the world to ensure the very best quality and prices. Nathel & Nathel, Inc. is a third generation business established in 1922 by Daniel Nathel & Gashen Wishnatzki as a partnership. Nathel & Nathel became wholesale merchants in the Fruit & Vegetable Industry, operating at the Washington street market in New York City as Wishnatzki & Nathel. In 1932 Gashen Wishnatzki went to Florida to expand operations while Daniel Nathel managed operations in New York. Gashen Wishnatzki retired in the 1950s and his business interests passed to his sons Lester & Joseph Wishnatzki. In 1967 the New York operation moved from Washington Street to the Hunts Point Terminal Market. Upon the retirement of Daniel Nathel in 1971, Alvin Nathel was admitted into the business and Wishnatzki & Nathel incorporated. The principals were Lester & Joseph Wishnatzki and Alvin Nathel. Through the passage of time and retirements, the principals became (and are today) Ira & Sheldon Nathel - sons of Alvin. In 2001, the brothers bought out Wishnatzki's ownership and formed Nathel & Nathel Inc. Ira & Sheldon Nathel now oversee all of the activities and strategic decisions made at Nathel & Nathel, Inc. Currently, Nathel & Nathel employs a staff of 125+ and operate its facility using 13 units of warehouse space within the Hunts Point Terminal Market. The officers of Nathel & Nathel, Inc. have a combined work experience of over 40 years in the produce industry, and a serious passion for what they do. Those are the reasons for the phenomenal growth and success Nathel & Nathel, Inc. has enjoyed since it's initial inception as Wishnatzki & Nathel 80 years ago.
