NORM Cement plant is the largest cement plant in the South Caucasus with production capacity of 5 thousand tons of clinker per day and 2 million tons cement per year. The plant covering 160 hectares of area, located in Garadakh district of Baku, in 2.6 km north of Sangachal Oil Terminal. The plant is designed according to the most advanced European technology with the process equipment supplied from the leading manufacturers of European countries, and it is almost entirely automated. The plant also operates the modern “dry process” technology in cement production which guarantees exploitation efficiency, energy saving, environmental protection, and finally, the high quality of the product. The mortar and concrete testing laboratories established at the NORM Sement plant meet the highest standards and equipped with modern facilities. The processes in the labs are fully automated and human intervention is minimized. Currently, the plant produces four types of cement, such as CEM II / AP 32,5R, CEM II / BL 32,5R, CEM II / AP 42,5R and CEM II / AP 42.5N. These types of cement are sold under the name "KLASS A", "KLASS B", "KLASS C500", and “KLASS S”, respectively. Popularity of NORM cement products, distinguished with specific features such as stability, high resistance to temperature changes and convenient application, continues to increase in the market. Technological and scientific-technical cooperation of NORM with European companies guarantees provision of Azerbaijan’s construction industry with the highest quality cement. The European Cement Research Academy (ECRA) is one of the prestigious organizations in the world.
