North Avenue Capital
North Avenue Capital (NAC), a leading provider of USDA-backed commercial loans, has provided a record $50 million in debt financing to the Thomasville Regional Medical Center (TRMC), an acute care hospital and medical campus in southwest Alabama. Due to the size of the project, the financing structure consisted of four different loans that will refinance existing debt, provide working capital, and fund the purchase of state-of-the-art medical equipment. The acute care facility is located in Thomasville, Alabama, a rural city with a population of fewer than 5,000 people. The TRMC campus provides a central hub for rural communities located outside of surrounding cities such as Mobile, Montgomery, Tuscaloosa, and Birmingham; making it a prime business and trade area that can service over 80,000 people. "By utilizing guarantees from the USDA Business & Industry program and through a partnership with the city of Thomasville, NAC funded $50 million in loans for the Thomasville Regional Hospital campus. This public-private partnership will save lives while injectingmeaningful growth into a rural Alabama economy. Without the funding Congress provides to the USDA for rural development, this investment and partnership would not be possible.
