The Science Program at North Babylon is designed to maximize hands-on, discovery-oriented learning experiences for all of our students as they progress from kindergarten through to high school graduation. The curriculum is designed to adhere to New York State standards and to develop life-long critical thinking and problem-solving skills. We strive to promote a program of active participation to enable all students to become global learners. The concepts that are emphasized are those that will form the basis for a lifetime of science interest and discovery. We emphasize work in small groups to allow students to construct their own understanding of science principles to maximize retention and their ability to apply all that they have learned throughout their scholastic career in North Babylon.
