North Highlands Baptist Church

North Highlands Baptist Church has licensed and/or ordained twenty-five men to preach the Gospel and has been served by eleven pastors during its 55 years. Our present Pastor, William Douglas O&s;Brien, has completed his 19 th year on August 20, 1997, almost twice as long as any other pastor. Under his leadership, sound preaching, example, and belief in the people, North Highlands has reached goals and made accomplishments that might otherwise not have been made. As the old adage goes, "behind every successful man, there stands a good woman," and Barbara O&s;Brien has exemplified that, at the same time carving out her own niche by teaching Young Married Couples Class, actively supporting WMU, and other church organizations, while always being ready to fill in as pianist or organist. As we begin our 56th year at NHBC, I challenge each member to " Let you light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in Heaven.
