Northland Utilities

Northland Utilities has served the people of the Northwest Territories for more than 60 years delivering safe, reliable and cost-effective electricity services to more than 11,000 customers in Yellowknife, Hay River, Trout Lake, Kakisa, Dory Point, Fort Providence, Wekweeti, Enterprise and the K'at'lodeeche First Nation. It owns and operates more than 475 km of electric transmission and distribution line, five substations and five diesel plants. Northland Utilities is an equal partnership between ATCO Ltd. and Denendeh Investments Incorporated, which represents the 27 Dene First Nations of the Northwest Territories. Northland Utilities has two operating divisions: Northland Utilities (NWT) Limited and Northland Utilities (Yellowknife) Limited.
