Established in 1948, Nottingham Playhouse is one of the UK's leading producing theatres with a particular passion for new writing and participation. Comprising a 700-seat main house and the 100-seat Neville Studio Nottingham Playhouse produces around 13 new works per annum and also runs a supporting programme of visiting drama, contemporary dance, music and spoken word as well as an extensive and expanding programme of participatory work. Nottingham Playhouse is an award winning theatre whose recent triumphs include 1984 (West End), The Kite Runner (nominated for Best Regional production What's On Stage), Mass Bolero, the regional premiere of Posh, Tony's Last Tape and our world class record breaking annual pantomime.
