NPT was established in 1993 with the aid of expert chemists who boast excellent skill in the synthesis of Functionalized Prepolymers and in their use in one-part and two-part adhesives and sealants. From the very beginning, NPT has focussed on the research and evolution of materials and has a laboratory entirely dedicated to the development of new formulations. The results of this research and development are protected by international patents. In 1998, NPT decided to invest further in research and enlarged its group, taken on new young researchers. New laboratories were set up and dedicated to polymeric and organic synthesis and polymeric analysis. At the same time, NPT also decided to research silane based prepolymers and silyl derivatives. In 2002 work commenced to construct a new plant for silane prepolymers and silyl derivatives. At this time studies were also started to develop ecologically compatible products in line with NPT's belief that product innovation should be closely connected to respect for working and environmental conditions. In the year 2003, Silane-methoxy based products ( SiMP®) were first distributed on the market. However, subsequently, this technology has been progressively abandoned due its incompatibility with NPT's philosophy of safeguarding the environment. The Year 2006 marked the start of the first tests with the newly developed EcoSiMP® eco-compatible technology and 2007 saw the distribution of EcoSiMP® based adhesives and sealants on the market. NPT's innovation, however, is not solely linked to product technologies: in 2006 modernization of the production process began with a renewed sealant production line. By the year 2007, NPT was also able to count on completely inert and automated desiccation and powder transfer lines. The year 2008, saw the start of production using the new 2000 litre mixer. This specially designed, unique and fully automatic mixer is "the jewel in NPT's crown". As a producer of chemical specialities NPT boasts excellent ability in polyurethane and silane technology, together with a highly motivated research and development team committed to process and product quality.
