Isaac E. Young Middle School

Isaac E. Young Middle School is committed to creating an environment where children of all backgrounds are able to come to school and learn in a safe orderly environment. We know middle school years are full of challenges and new experiences. However, bullying should not be part of that experience. Bullying, harassment, and intimidation is intentional conduct, including verbal, physical, or written conduct, or an intentional electronic communication, that creates a hostile educational environment. We are dedicated to teaching our students about the harmful effects bullying can have on others as well as teaching students to take a stand and speak out. All of our staff members (teachers, security, teaching assistants, guidance counselors, etc) have been trained to intervene. We have a school wide reporting system where children are able to report acts of bullying anonymously. In addition, our Bullying Team is constantly looking for ways to strengthen our anti bully message.
