Nunamina Cottage

Nunamina Cottage provides utterly private and fully self-contained accommodation on the Tasman Peninsula. Able to sleep 4 adults in two bedrooms, it's ideally situated for those wishing to follow the Tasman Trail, the Three Capes Walking track, visit the Port Arthur Historic Site and the Saltwater River Coalmines Historic Site. It's also ideal for anyone who is going to a wedding at Cascades Colonial Accommodation as the cottage is situated adjacent to the old probation station at Koonya. The house is the Dower House for the Nunamina Estate and was built in the 1990's by a local craftsman. The house is furnished beautifully and the enormous verandah looks out over Cascades Bay, with delightful sea & country views. The house has air-conditioning and a wood heater for cooler nights. An excellently appointed kitchen makes cooking a pleasure, good quality guest amenities are provided with the cottage. Nunamina will delight and surprise the discerning & discreet traveller with most bookings being made by returning guests. Access to the private bushland estate and the private beach are bonus features of the stay. The house is spacious, with high ceilings and first class fittings, and supplies all that is needful to allow the discerning guest to feel at home whilst away from home.
