Nyambya Tea

Nyambya Tea Company is a family owned and operated tea factory in Western Uganda located in the foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains. The tea plantations were originally partially planted in the late 1960’s and over the years additional planted areas have been added. In 2010 our own tea factory was commissioned in order to cope with increasing volume of Green Leaf from our plantations and neighbouring farmers. We control of all stages of production from the growing of the plantlets in the nursery through to the final product. The plantations and factory are a significant investment in a remote area of the country and have created badly needed employment opportunities. Programs are in place for those that work with us and for the community by way of staff welfare, housing, community projects and education. We hope you enjoy looking at our website.
