Opennetworks

OpenNetworks was founded in June 2000 to develop an early form of Social Networking system. In 2001 recognition of OpenNetworks innovation came in the form of an IDC (Industrial Development Corporation) SPII grant (Support Programme for Industrial Innovation). By 2002 the product had grown to incorporate CRM and the first OpenNetworks CRM customers went live later in 2002. In 2003 OpenNetworks was the technology contractor providing a CRM solution for a DTI SPF (Sector Partnership Fund) project providing CRM functions for six organisations. In 2003 OpenNetworks became one of South Africa's earliest plone CMS website implementers and during that year OpenNetworks was selected as a finalist in the Top 100 Technology Companies at the 2003 Technology Top 100 Awards Program, hosted by Business Day and The Sunday Times. In 2006 OpenNetworks pioneered the use of Gmail as a business email solution. Google Apps for Business was launched in 2007 with OpenNetworks continuing to gain skills and experience and becoming one of South Africa's most experienced Google Apps Authorized Resellers. As the Google Apps product suit has grown, so has OpenNetworks CRM's level of integration with Google Apps including: contacts, calendar, documents and other integration. OpenNetworks Contact Management was launched as a separate product in 2010 and specializes in signature branding and managing contacts across all devices from Mobile phones and tablets through to desktop computers. The continuous development of OpenNetworks CRM has produced a mature and reliable system with OpenNetworks website skills and experience resulted in the highest level of CRM and Web integration. The company is still managed by its founders providing solutions to more than 200 organisations.
