Optima Ovest is an innovative pharmaceutical company new to the Australian market. Our mission is to improve the health, quality of life and well-being of people through the development, manufacture and supply of quality medication. The directors of Optima Ovest are Antony Accordino and Barry Thompson, who with over 50 years of combined pharmaceutical experience and having previously worked in TGA registered sites for both national and multinational companies, are more than just a supplier of high quality medicines. From the outset we will work in genuine partnership with our clients, proceeding into new product development and in the process setting new industry standards by approaching each project with a can-do attitude. This allows us to deliver on our promises and we base our reputation on our many years of experience, guaranteeing to deliver a quick and efficient response to all our clients requirements, regardless of size or nature. We formulate and manufacture products to suit the dosage form requirements of paediatrics through to aged care. Paediatric formulations in particular have been long overlooked, and are one of our main areas of interest, due to our long association with the hospital sector. Both directors have researched and formulated many products for the private and public sector, many of which are now commercially available within Australia. We have routinely researched paediatric products to improve their palatability and dose compliance, as children are not necessarily small adults and medication optimisation may require bespoke formulations. These products which are not commercially available, may be manufactured under contract for supply to hospitals.
