ORBITAL SYSTEMS is a pioneer in distributed water recirculation systems that filter mineral and biological impurities out of lightly-used water in showers to dramatically cut energy and water consumption. The company's Shower of the Future™, saves up to 90% of the water and 80% of the heating energy. Founder and CEO Mehrdad Mahdjoubi developed the technology as part of an academic collaboration between NASA's Johnson Space Center and Lund University. ORBITAL expects to develop future products based around its technology for baths, sinks and other applications.
