Orient Finance PLC is a registered Finance Company under the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, and is engaged in accepting fixed deposits, in addition to offering a diverse range of financial products and services. The reappointment of Ramesh Shaffter to the Board of Orient Finance PLC will enable the Company to pursue its objectives with renewed vigour. Ramesh Schaffter is a versatile personality and accomplished public speaker, who has won several awards at national and international level at Toastmasters' contests. With a passion for serving people, he functions as the President of Habitat for Humanity, Sri Lanka, which is an NGO engaged in providing housing for low-income families, in addition to serving on the Board of World Vision, Sri Lanka. He is the founder of Swarga TV and Swargam TV which functions on a cable TV platform, as well as Christian Arts Foundation (Chraft), which focuses on promoting music and drama.
