The integrated group combines the leadership, medical expertise, and patient care services of dozens of physicians, physician assistants (including nurse practitioners), physical and occupational therapists, athletic trainers, and more than 250 employees, with offices in Anchorage, Eagle River, and Wasilla. Rising costs, increased government regulation, health-care reform, declining federal and state reimbursement, and the need to develop and demonstrate value-based care have led us to reconsider our health-care delivery model. OrthoAlaska facilitates collaboration with hospitals, surgery centers, primary care providers, self-insured employers, and others to leverage medical expertise, managerial capabilities, technology, and other resources to reduce patient and employer costs and further develop and continually improve the following: Clinical and surgical care pathways Cost management techniques Data driven care delivery systems Patients always have been and always will be our first priority.
