Nawab Osman Ali Khan was the seventh Nizam of Hyderabad and the Osmania University was named after him. The Osmania University is known as the third oldest University in India and this initiative was taken both by the public and civil servants of Hyderabad. The Osmania University offers a wide range of programmes for students and professionals. The Osmania University offers 25 different types of UG and 75 PG courses. The Osmania University also offers 2 different Research Programmes at Mphil and PhD level.
