Ossining Union Free School District

A seven-member Board of Education governs the district. Ossining schools set high standards and expectations, and believes all students can and will learn. It has distinguished itself for its academics, athletics and cultural programs. The National Association of Music Merchants Foundation named Ossining a Best Community for Music Education for the 10th consecutive year in 2020. Students in the Fundamentals of Science Research Program routinely win national and international awards for their work. The Ossining School District launched its education equity initiative four years ago. Districtwide, building and student equity teams work continually to disrupt and dismantle inequity in our schools. We strive to provide a representative, responsive curriculum that attends to the race, ethnicity, culture and language of our students while supporting teachers to use anti-bias, anti-racist and anti-oppressive pedagogy.
