OUem has a mission to provide resources for the current needs of the collegiate University while preserving the endowment's purchasing power for future generations. We are aiming to provide a long term real return. OUem's philosophy is predominantly based on diversification and on exploiting our competitive advantages. Long-term investing allows OUem to be opportunistic and also to see through short-term volatile markets. It also provides the flexibility to exploit a variety of investment classes in order to achieve the highest possible returns, at the same time as respecting the risk parameters set by the Investment Committee.
