The Philadelphia Housing Authority (PHA) is the fourth-largest housing authority in the country, and Pennsylvania's largest landlord. PHA serves 81,000 low income people in 50 developments and 4,000 scattered site units, with 1,400 employees and an annual budget of over $371 million. Oystertree is conducting an agency-wide sustainability assessment for PHA, including its residential properties, administrative offices, vehicle fleet management, staff training and certification, and resident engagement. Emerald Cities Collaborative (ECC) is a national nonprofit consortium of businesses, unions, government, and community organizations. ECC specializes in building sustainable regional economies, emphasizing the production of energy efficient buildings that produce livable wage jobs as well as ensure the equitable distribution of benefits of the emerging low carbon economy. Oystertree is providing ECC with specialized technical assistance on affordable housing finance and public housing. On-Site Insight is the nation's leader for high quality capital needs assessments and energy audit services. Over the past 20 years, OSI has performed more than 6,000 assessments across the United States on multifamily properties, condominiums, hotels, healthcare facilities, and school dormitories. In 2009, OSI partnered with Enterprise Community Partners to develop a Green Capital Needs Assessment. Oystertree provides OSI with strategic advice and technical assistance. TexEnergy Solutions is an employee-owned company with over 40 years of experience improving home energy performance. Based in Dallas, TX, TexEnergy is the leading provider of Energy Star Home services in Texas, as well as the largest LEED for Homes Provider in the country and an Enterprise Green Communities Technical Assistance Provider. Oystertree provides TexEnergy with strategic advice regarding public and affordable housing, as well as on-site testing and verification services in Louisiana and the Gulf Coast. Since 1982, Enterprise Community Partners has raised and invested more than $11 billion in equity, grants and loans to help build or preserve nearly 300,000 affordable rental and for-sale homes. More recently, Enterprise created the Green Communities certification program to encourage affordable housing projects to be healthy, efficient and sustainable for the long term. In 2011, Oystertree provided Enterprise with research and advice on a nationwide survey of Housing Finance Agencies and green building programs. The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) is a nonprofit membership organization comprising 78 local affiliates, nearly 16,000 member companies and organizations, and more than 170,000 LEED Professional Credential holders. USGBC created and maintains the LEED Rating System, which has over 9 billion square feet of building space participating in the suite of rating systems. In 2011, Oystertree provided USGBC with advice and technical assistance in organizing the annual USGBC Affordable Housing Summit.
