We welcome you as a patient and appreciate the opportunity to provide your family pediatric and adolescent medical services. All of our doctors are board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and are fellows of the American Academy of Pediatrics. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. Everyone in the office operates as a team member. All have been trained as professionals and we take pride in our commitment to provide expert and personal health services. Pediatric and Adolescent Care of Silver Spring is a Pediatric Patient-Centered Medical Home. The Medical Home is an innovative, team-based approach to providing healthcare. Our goal is to develop a partnership between the patient, parents, the primary MD/NP and the health care team. We want to help educate the child and the responsible adult to develop healthy habits and plans for self-management of their health and healthcare! Working together with you and following evidence-based guidelines for medical care, our team will coordinate to provide the best health care services possible. We all work together as a team to take excellent care of your "whole child. This includes coordinating care of your child across multiple settings, including mental health. We do expect you to pick a primary care clinician, but you are always free to see any of our doctors or NP. We will enter your primary care clinician choice in our computer system to make arranging appointments easier. It is our goal to provide you and your child with strategies and tools to make it easy for you to self-manage chronic illnesses (eg, Asthma, ADHD, obesity) based on the best evidence-based medicine. As a Pediatric Medical Home, we know how important it is for us to be available to assist you and your child. We understand that when you are worried about your child you want help ASAP! Note that we have walk-in sick appointments on Monday and Friday mornings from 8:00 am - 9:00 am. We are always available for concerns, including after-hours advice for urgent concerns. We have our nurses available to help you with medical questions 8:00 am-5:00 pm Monday-Friday.
