Paneltex Ltd is a leading UK manufacturer of refrigerated and specialised vehicle bodies, producing everything from the largest trailers to the smallest vans. Working closely with many major truck builders, this allows the Company to offer the widest available range of controlled temperature vehicles. Our 12,000 square metre factory in Hull houses some of the largest vacuum presses in Europe allowing us to make single piece insulated panels in sizes up to 16 metres long. Dedicated body assembly lines deliver high volume production of vehicles, all of which are designed specifically to suit the particular fleet needs of our customers. A particular area of expertise is in light-weight refrigerated bodywork to suit chassis from 3.5 to 7.5 tonnes gross vehicle weight. Many major grocery retailers in the UK rely on Paneltex-built vehicles to deliver high quality products direct to their customers every day. This typically needs a multi-temperature vehicle to carry a combination of frozen, chilled and ambient products, and Paneltex has developed various bespoke versions of these to suit the operations of different supermarkets. In this vehicle size, maximising payload is a key performance requirement and Paneltex technology has been used to achieve this time after time by reducing body mass. Ease of access, aerodynamics, high levels of insulation and security are also areas where Paneltex can offer unique benefits. Through Paneltex subsidiary companies, Somers Refrigeration and Paneltex Transload we can also offer a full range of refrigerated panel van conversions to 7.5 tonnes and ambient goods vehicles up to 26 tonnes. Refrigerated bodywork is available with ATP class 'C' and European Whole Vehicle Type Approval, and quality is strictly controlled under an ISO 9001 quality assurance system, so everything from concept design to supply of spare parts for vehicles in service is provided as part of the Paneltex package. As well as our bespoke bodywork designs for large fleet customers, standard refrigerated bodies are available with a very wide range of options to ensure that we have a vehicle suitable for many operations.
