Papinelle

Papinelle is an Australian lifestyle brand based in Paddington Sydney. We love what we do; it's our second child. The word Papinelle was created by simply mixing the French words "Papillon" meaning butterfly, and Coccinelle, meaning lady beetle. We aim to create beautiful products designed to enhance your down time. Like many of Australia's fashion designers, fresh out of university in 2003, Renae James started Papinelle at the Paddington markets with sleepwear designs that quickly brought retail and media attention. Renae was born and raised in Sydney, Australia. She loves her family, her work, traveling and wine. Renae met her husband Chris on a work trip to New York. He was taking over the world one catwalk at a time in the US but gave it all up to settle in back Sydney. They have a beautiful son named Hudson (who was named after the city in which they met).
