Parallel Public Works

Parallel Public Works is a technology and design studio specializing in the creation of web applications, mobile apps and software products for governments, non-profits and public space. We embrace the tremendous value that a multidisciplinary approach brings to creative thought and strive to uncover the common foundations of good design in every project we undertake. Founded in 1999 by Pete Bjordahl, our work is an exploration of how traditional spatial and media design and the information architecture of networked technologies can add to, alter and form public space. We are interested in how technology is driving the convergence of the immaterial and material worlds and how design can be used to guide the process. We include a growing team of diverse talent. We are located in an large, open warehouse space in Burien, WA where while build, produce and explore work.
