Professional Control

Professional Control

PCC was founded in 1980 by three entrepreneurs who identified a need for automation system designers that could tailor automated solutions to the needs of the customer. PCC's first client of note was Eastman Kodak Co. for which our engineers created the control design package for Kodak's "DISC" camera manufacturing assembly lines. Some of the early engineering projects utilized emerging technologies included programmable logic controllers (PLC), and human machine interfaces (HMI). The manufacturers of these products approached PCC to market, sell and support these technologies at a local level, thus beginning the distribution business for PCC. As a distributor, the first major product line PCC represented was The Texas Instruments PLC product line. In 1992 Siemens Energy & Automation acquired Texas Instruments, beginning our longstanding partnership with Siemens and today it remains the cornerstone of the PCC product offering. During our 30-year relationship, PCC has been nationally recognized year after year as one of the top 10 high-tech Siemens distributors receiving seven Bronze Eagle Awards. This award is presented to those distributors in recognition of their sales achievement, support capabilities and commitment to business excellence. Every year less than 5% of those who are eligible receive this prestigious award.
