Pernec

Pernec Corporation (PERNEC) is a Malaysian J/V company between Amanah Raya Berhad (ARB), NEC Corporation Japan (NEC) and Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB) providing Information and Communication Technology (ICT) solutions to customers in Malaysia and abroad. Pernec was established in 1973 through a J/V between Pernas Engineering Sdn Bhd of Malaysia and Nippon Electric Company of Japan. In 1974, the company ventured into manufacturing of NEC multiplexing equipment. By the early 90s, Pernec had captured a significant market share in Malaysia by supplying telecommunication equipment, particularly to Telekom Malaysia Berhad. Since then, PERNEC has positioned itself to be the leading Malaysian company in ICT.
