Pierpont Community & Technical College

Pierpont Community and Technical College is a public community college in Fairmont, West Virginia that was founded in 1974 under the name of Fairmont State Community and Technical college. It was renamed to Pierpont Community and Technical College in 2006 after Francis H. Pierpont. It is the second largest enrollment of the 10 community and technical colleges that make West Virginia Community and Technical College System. The institution is accredited on a ten-year cycle by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) of the North Central Association of Colleges.
