Our founder Manuel De Luque considers himself new to running, which might be the reason he's so passionate about it. Manuel's background is in the financial sector, where he has spent 20 years driving businesses forward and making them stronger. Taking up running at the same time was his wife, Montse De Juan, Pinrace's co-founder. She is also our director and a veteran of the fitness industry, with two decades of experience. Pinrace is the vision of Manuel, who came up with the idea when he was running a race in Spain and found himself unhappy with the damage and discomfort of safety pins. That is when he conceivedPinrace - a product which doesn't damage the fabric, is easy to use and doesn't cause any irritation to the user. We are a Great Britain based organisation that has come up with a small, lightweight magnetic fastening system which does the job just as well as pins - in fact, better. Whereas safety pins can damage the fabric over time, Pinrace's invention simply consists of a couple of strong magnets that clasp on to each other, over and under the marathon bib or other garment. Simple!
