Piruqatigiit Resource Centre

Piruqatigiit Resource Centre (Piruqatigiit) is a community based, non-profit organization that was created by Nunavummiut with lived FASD experience and professional knowledge. We are grounded in promising and best practices, guided from a holistic and Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit approach to information sharing and programming. Piruqatigiit provides education, resources and programming for children, youth and adults with FASD. We also provide programming, resources and support for caregivers and loved ones. Piruqatigiit works closely with the pediatric FASD clinic in Iqaluit to provide helpful information and support to individuals and families. In addition to our programming, we also provide education and consultation for organizations to support FASD and trauma informed spaces and practices. Piruqatigiit seeks to support equitable, accessible and inclusive systems and spaces in Nunavut for Nunavummiut with suspected and confirmed FASD.
