PK Welding & Fabricators
PK Welding and Fabricators Inc. was founded in 1960 by Arnold H. Paashuis in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. Initially, the company served as a custom metal fabricating shop. Its first exposure to the truck upfitting business was the manufacturing of mobile catering bodies with stainless steel interiors. As PK's reputation for innovation and quality grew, dealers began approaching the company with new concepts. The development of the commercial cutaway van or 'cube' van established PK as a major force in the light-duty truck body market in Ontario. Since that time PK has used its skilled workforce and innovation to establish itself in new markets with its larger dry and refrigerated vans, all aluminum constructed walk-in vans, Mobile TV production vans and trailers, Ambulance bodies, and Police and Fire specialty vehicles. Today, PK Vans occupies two large manufacturing facilities with a customer base that stretches across Canada and the United States, as well as offshore markets in Asia and South America.
